Just like Lauren, Chris grew up in the South, but between Mississippi and Texas. After graduating from the University of Texas and spending his first few post-grad years in Austin, Chris became interested in pursuing his creative passions in New York City. Visiting six times and always wanting to return, Chris eventually moved in 2018. Little did he know, he would soon be meeting his future wife!

Soon after settling, Chris found himself without a job, so he began exploring concert photography and the city! During that time, Chris came across Lauren on the dating app Hinge and decided to message her. At first, there were crickets... but then, she responded a week later agreeing to an ice cream date! After four hours of fun conversation in Tompkins Square Park and watching the Metronome reset in Union Square, he knew he wanted to see her again!

Over the past 5 years, Chris continued to see Lauren, because of her joyfulness and sincerity, passion for college sports, and a mutual love for food! They have supported each other during the ups and downs of life, grown in their cultural differences, weathered the random thunderstorms and snow squalls, and become each other’s better half!
