The Wedding Party

Sarah is Lauren’s older sister and now taking on the role of her maid of honor! Being 3 years older, Sarah has always been there to pave the way, whether at First Baptist, the University of South Carolina, or living in the northeast, she was the first to do it all and showed Lauren the ropes!

Henry is Chris' older brother and best man! Growing up in Mississippi together, Chris and Henry loved doing things together: watching college sports, riding bikes to friends' houses, playing sports in their neighborhood, and of course, playing video games.

Lydia is Lauren’s cousin and they grew up in Charleston doing everything together, including re-styling mannequins in Ann Taylor Loft as middle schoolers while their moms shopped! Born just 6 weeks apart, Lydia and Lauren have always been a duo and it has been so special to navigate all the stages of life together.

Thanks to another Chris, Evan and Chris met during a brunch before their first job at Oracle. This led to a collision course of many activities: driving Evan's new car from Michigan to Austin, playing YMCA basketball, attending barge parties on Lake Travis, scoring a coveted invite to Punta Cana, and spending lots of nights downtown. Be warned though, Evan is the slyest prankster around.

Catherine and Lauren met at church when they were just 3 years old and have been friends ever since! They grew up playing soccer together and were the fastest girls on the team, often mistaken for one another. Catherine has always been someone Lauren could confide in, both while she was young and as we grew older!

Asim and Chris first met in high school through fellow groomsman, Tim Noll, after Tim brought Asim to play basketball after school. Since then, Asim and Chris have been called the "Splash Brothers" at the University of Texas gym, have held up Macklemore by his feet, gone to ACL and SXSW, talked a lot about personal finance, and to this day, continue to co-moderate Contango.

Taylor and Lauren bonded over cheerleading, Beyonce, and peanut butter cupcakes in 2007 and the rest is history! They went on to be in the same sorority and roommates for 2 years in college. Lauren was Taylor’s Maid of Honor March 2024 when she married our beloved Chandlaaaaa.

Tim's name is actually still saved in Chris' phone as Tim Tebow and unsurprisingly people are shocked whenever they see Tim's phone contact. Chris also met Tim through high school after he joined the after school ritual of playing pick-up basketball. Since then, Chris has learned Tim's codified face signals and language (rat, vulture, etc.), funny dark humor, and internet deep cuts. You can also thank Tim for introducing Post Malone and crypto to Chris.

Maggie and Lauren met one week into joining Phi Mu. Maggie saw the photo of Lauren as homecoming queen stuffing her face with a cheeseburger and said, “I have to find her and be her friend!” which turned into roommates in the Phi Mu house together and besties ever since!

Chris met Paul in high school world history class through mutual friend Kim, who sat next to them. Eventually, they ended up hanging out a lot, which translated to free movies at the local AMC, packing what others Halo players were lacking, hooping almost anywhere (a common theme here), and listening to a lot of Yellowcard. Ask Paul about his spam fried rice.

Shenanigans while both living in the Phi Mu house sophomore year turned Lauren and Elizabeth into close pals. The next 2 years, they were roommates with Taylor Stoll and Caitlin Osborn. Elizabeth is the only person to love ice cream more than Lauren.

Phillip and Chris met in a high school class after they were paired on a project to compete against other groups using only straws to move M&Ms from one bowl to another. Chris decided to use straws as chopsticks, and somehow, that was the moment they became friends. Since then, Phil and Chris have eaten many 20-piece McChicken nuggets, floated many rivers, and explored the splendor of New York City.

Lauren met Caitlin through Elizabeth and shared the infamous Olympia 112 apartment with Elizabeth, Caitlin, and Taylor. Lauren has never laughed more than the 2 years she lived with these three girls!

Some say Chris is the best name in the world, but to avoid confusion when together, they usually go by Hogue and Xu. Hogue and Xu met through high school mutual friends and eventually lived together Junior year at 401 Estates. Bonded by a mutual love for music and entrepreneurship, Hogue and Xu have made hundreds of Jello shots and have taken on numerous music festivals.

Cameron and Lauren were introduced through Phi Mu, but grew closer while navigating New York City together post-grad. Cameron is who Lauren has to thank for introducing her to her favorite neighborhood ever – Fort Greene, Brooklyn!

Chris met Justin through their late friend Dusty while living in Jester West dorm at the University of Texas freshman year. After joining the same fraternity pledge class with Justin and his dog Harvey, they moved in senior year with late fraternity brother, Cam. During that time, they saw Roscoe Dash, played plenty of pick-up at Gregory Gym, took an impromptu trip to Vegas, and most recently, traveled to Cabo (for Justin's wedding).

While Lauren and Sara did not meet until Junior year of college when they were dressed as a hot dog and a cow for a fraternity pageant (Sara won the pageant!), they became fast friends that have grown incredibly close throughout their 20s. Lauren and Sara lived their dream this year while living just a 5 minute walk apart in Fort Greene, Brooklyn!

Chris first met Qunvar (aka "Q") during the fraternity pledging process and immediately admired Q's radical positivity, streetwear fashion (especially the sneakers), and of course, his trademarked slang you simply won't hear from anyone else (just talk to him). From deep philosophical life discussions to just a normal catch-up, Q always keeps it real.

Lauren and Kelly met while at USC and then went on to be roommates for 5 years (yes, you read that correctly) in New York City. Kelly was the very first friend to meet Chris, after just their second date and has been a huge support throughout their relationship.

Andrew is Lauren’s 11 year old nephew. Chris and Lauren have had so much fun watching Andrew grow up and he always keeps us busy with games like manhunt when we are in Charleston!

Teagan is Lauren’s 13 year old niece and is so excited to be part of Lauren and Chris’ big day!
